Operation of the e-composter
Put food leftovers into the e-composter through the top cover. The leftovers stay in the top mixing chamber under optimal conditions for composting. The stirring rod stirs the leftovers every hour and oxygen is delivered with help of a pump. This prevents the release of methane. Microcultures promote the process of waste degradation and release heat energy. Heat diminishes the odour and possible pathogens.
When the mixing chamber is full, the indicator FULL lights up. Press the OK button and the biological waste will be transferred to the composting tank, where it will dry and ripen into compost. Meanwhile you can put waste into the upper chamber.
Within two weeks a fertilizer is formed, which can be used for fertilizing flowers or trees. More than 70% of waste disappears, when compost cultures convert water into steam. What remains is a very concentrated fertilizer.
Fresh compost has a mild organic aroma, which people often describe as wet wool, mouldy bread or mushrooms.
The fertilizer can be used immediately or left in bags and used later.
